Edinburgh Cityscape at Sunset

£12.00£63.20

Calton Hill is a hill to the east of the New Town in Edinburgh, at the bottom of Princes Street. The view from here is stunning, and is one of my favourite places in Edinburgh to watch the sunset and it’s hard to believe that Calton Hill was once a volcano that is now extinct. It is a really special place. “Of all places for a view, this Calton Hill is perhaps the best” proclaimed writer Robert Louis Stevenson in his book “Picturesque notes” in 1889.
